Postimees Grupp, a leading media group in the Baltic region, has worked with Insys Video Technologies to launch its own direct-to-consumer OTT service, Apollo TV. Apollo TV provides users with access to over 50 live TV channels, as well as movies, series, and other on-demand content through the VOD zone. Viewers can access catch-up content as well as receiving content recommendations.
Insys was the technology partner for the entire implementation, responsible for defining and delivering the infrastructure, technology, and hardware, as well as providing maintenance and support. Apollo TV has been implemented and deployed using InsysGO, a complete and modern OTT solution, which enables content providers to quickly launch customised video services.
Toomas Tiivel, member of the board at Apollo TV, said: “With the launch of Apollo TV, we are keen to deliver an engaging service for our existing customers, as well as appealing to new audiences. The combination of expert guidance from the Insys team together with the flexibility and ease-of-use of InsysGo enabled us to quickly launch a service to multiple platforms. At the same time we were able to deliver a modern content-centric interface and a number of innovative features to keep our viewers happy.”
Ernest Kałaczyński, area sales manager at Insys Video Technologies, added: “With Apollo TV, Postimees Grupp is serving a wide range of compelling content to its customers. Consumers are demanding the flexibility to watch the content they want when and where they want to watch it, including accessing that same content on multiple devices.”
The platform is currently available in Estonia with an ambition to expand to all Baltic countries. Users can access the service via web browsers, mobile devices with Android and iOS systems, Android TV, and Chromecast.
